How we identify products deployed by companies.
A Product Signature is a unique combination of low-level signals representing a product deployed by a company. Product Signatures can appear in many places across a company’s digital presence but, broadly speaking, they appear across two distinct locations.
Product Signatures appear across:
- Applications & Infrastructure
- Published Content
Applications & Infrastructure - Intricately sees the majority of product deployments by analyzing a company’s networks, applications, and IT infrastructure. This analysis results in the most objective and reliable view of a company's product adoption.
Published Content - A small (but growing) number of product deployments come from less reliable sources such as a company’s job postings or other digital content a company may publish. Digital content can appear on websites, blog posts, social media, and other publishing channels. When relying on product deployments identified from this less reliable source, it's important to recognize the potentially high rate of false positives and adjust your targeting strategy accordingly.
